Want To Copy Paste Stuff Between Your iPhone And Computer? Try Hopper!

Silly as it seems, it’s a reality that there’s no direct way to quick and easy way to copy text and images. Though there are several workarounds like cloud-based sync tools, iTunes and even mailing stuff to yourself, these are hardly convenient. This is a problem which Hopper claims to solve - quickly copy and paste text, links, images and files back and forth between your phone and desktop without needing any app!
The brainchild of Josh Gross, Hopper serves as a clipboard which can be accessed with equal ease from your computer as well as from a mobile device. So, how does it work? Go to the Hopper site – copy any image, file or text from your computer and drop it at the Hopper site by pressing  press Cmd + V. Pasting stuff in Hooper creates a unique link for it.

You can choose to create a private/ public link depending on whether you want to share it with others or not. The best part – you can easily search for any files or text easily on Hopper. So, even if you forget what you’d dropped on Hopper, it’s always easy to search for it as shown below.

I tested Hopper with text, image files and word documents – most of it worked pretty well. I did discover that it had issues with specific image formats (high resolution TIFFs). None the less, I believe it’s a great way to quickly pass along useful information such as phone numbers, email addresses, YouTube links etc. between your iPhone and your computer. The best part – you don’t need to install any apps for it.
Hopper mobile site currently works for iPhone and Android compatibility is in the works. Having played around with Hopper for a mobile, I can’t help but wonder – it’s such an obvious problem and the solution is remarkably simple, why didn’t anyone else (including me) think about it earlier? How do you usually copy paste stuff between your iPhone and computer? Please share your opinion by leaving a comment.
