Samsung Galaxy SIII Details Leaked

New details surrounding the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy SIII have been leaked into the public domain, causing a frenzy of anticipation amongst expectant phone fans and industry insiders alike.
The information comes via BGR and suggests that the South Korean manufacturer’s new flagship handset will feature a 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos processor and  4.8-inch full HD 1080p resolution display with 16:9 aspect ratio, making it similar in quality to that of Blu-Ray.
In addition, the handset is said to sport an 8 megapixel rear facing camera and 2 megapixel front facing lens. It’s also suggested that the device will have a ceramic chassis, something that if accurate, points to a drastic change in approach by Samsung in terms of build materials. Previous rumours have stated that the SIII will be just 7mm thick which, if true, will make it the thinnest smartphone in the world ahead of the Motorola Razr.
The handset is, somewhat unsurprisingly, expected to run Android 4.0 and will carry full 4G LTE capability out of the box. Although 4G is not yet relevant to the UK market, it is highly likely to become commonplace within the next two years, meaning the SIII will be ready to take advantage of the technology once it arrives.
Although the leaked details cannot be officially confirmed, they do point towards the Galaxy SIII’s positioning at the cutting edge of the smartphone market. If the speculation turns out to be accurate we could be looking at one of the most impressive handsets in the world and one which will be a serious competitor for the forthcoming iPhone 5.
